A research assistant working in fields of educational STEM research projects and educational technology. The position will be responsible for working on all aspects of educational technology evaluations, including conducting classroom observations and interviews, recruiting and coordinating with study participants, managing and organize large databases, preparing documents for professional publications and presentations, and support field and lab-based research. Central to this role will be the ability to work with a broad range of individuals (e.g., researchers, study participants, school administrators), willingness to learn and take on new tasks, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Develop, serve and grow the latest Scouting program in the Boy Scouts, STEM Scouts.
Manage fleet operations and personnel. Assign and manage the work load within operations as well as escalate resource constraints to management. Oversee day-to-day new site commissioning, monitoring operations, escalations, ticketing and communications with all stakeholders. Ensure that the fleet performs at or beyond defined by Service Level Agreements. Develop operations process and procedures. Update and maintain associated documentation. Continuously improve processes and systems to proactively drive systems performance improvements. Manage the troubleshooting of site and communications issues with monitoring and analysis tools and identify root causes and recommend solutions required to maintain 100% uptime of fleet. Manage fleet site configurations and upgrades orchestrating efforts of field service personnel if necessary. Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within the operations; recommend prioritized enhancements and oversee implementation. Generate key reports for management including but not limited to: system availability, service level agreements, ticket resolution and customer issues (internal and external). Proactively communicate issues and system status to stakeholders across the organization.
Create, plan, and implement curriculum lesson plans on a weekly basis. Support Head Counselors, Camp Counselors and Jr. Counselors in daily activity periods. Complete weekly preparations with the rest of the specialist team for the All Camp Events on Fridays. Be a project lead for one All Camp Event. Assist with general camp staff training. Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers and make suggestions for improvement when necessary. Maintain public relations and communications with day camp parents. Assist with daily logistics of transporting campers from their regular camp day to extended care. Relate to campers in a positive manner, maintain camper supervision and discipline. Follow and maintain J-Camp policies and procedures and operate activities in a safe manner. Maintain and assist in the inventory and maintenance of all camp equipment and supplies. Fill in as a Head Counselor for breaks when needed. Attend required staff meetings and pre-camp training.

Research, evaluate and document technical accounting and reporting implications of complex and non-standard transactions, as well as general corporate accounting matters and draft related memos.
Management and development of direct reports.
Collaborate with other groups and/or departments in order to implement new accounting standards, including assessing the reporting implications and ensuring the availability of requisite information for financial reporting. Analyze contracts to determine the accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP.
Detailed knowledge of relevant accounting rules (e.g. SAB 104, ASC 605-25 (including ASU 2009-13, ASU 2009-14 (fka EITF 08-1, EITF 09-3), ASC 985-605 (fka SOP 97-2) relating to software, SaaS and services revenue recognition and multiple-element arrangements.
Support maintaining, updating, and evaluating new accounting policies.
Be a key part of the annual audit with external auditors, the accounting team, and executive management.
Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
Manage journal entries and reconciliation of accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
Participate in special projects as needed.
